Great British Sewing Bee

The great thing about blogging is reading other people's blogs. Today in reading http://sewingfantaticdiary.blogspot.com.au/ I discovered that there is a TV program on BBC2 called The Great British Sewing Bee. It is a four part series where 8 home sewers complete sewing challenges. As this is a competition, there are winners and losers. The losers leave the show while the winners continue on to the next challenge. The first program has been aired and you can see it on bbc2 and it's also been uploaded on YouTube. In the first episode the contestants made an A-line skirt, adapted the neckline of a ready to wear top, and made a dress of their choice to fit a live model. I really enjoyed the program and can't wait for the next episodes.Episode 1

  1. I watched it just a couple of nights ago and really enjoyed it. The bespoke tailor - I can not remember his name - well it was worth just to see him !But I loved all the characters on the show - the men were just a scream especially. I am putting my money on Ann winning .
