McCall's 6102.....again!

I've made McCall's 6102 one hour dress again! It still takes me longer than an hour but it is a quick and easy to make. I made this with a lovely cotton fabric that I bought at Rathdowne Fabrics in Brunswick last week. I bound the neckline with an 18mm self fabric bias binding and the armholes with a 12mm self fabric bias binding. I'm really loving using bias tape makers for pressing the seam allowances of the bias. I lengthened Style C by 6 cm so that it reached just past my knees. I also lowered the front neckline by a couple of centimetres at the centre front. It's a very casual dress and one that I'll wear around the house or to the beach.

A close up of the neckline and of the lovely printed cotton fabric.

I'm very happy with the armhole binding.

  1. You have been productive and busy. They are all very pretty dresses and what could be more appropriate than a sleeveless cotton dress for our current temps _ I am not sure which is my favourite .
