Simplicity 5351

I've made this skirt 3 times (top right on the pattern cover), twice in linen and once in wool. It's a great pattern for most types of  woven fabric. Although the pattern doesn't call for it, I lined the skirts as I find that they hang better when lined. This skirt has a great shape, especially with the way it flares at the hemline. It's terrific to wear and really comfortable. The one pictured was made from a hail stone patterned wool bought from Tessuti in Melbourne. The fabric is soft and drapes really well. Knowing that the lining wouldn't be seen, I decided to have a little fun and go with bright pink.
