The Rose Notes

I have just finished reading 'The Rose Notes' by Andrea Mayes. What a fantastic read. It's a love story but not your usual type of romantic love story. It's fully drawn characters are set in a beautiful rural Australian landscape. The story is told from the perspectives of the three main characters: Dobie, Pearl and Thomas. You are drawn into their lives and into the way they see their world. The author has you involved in the story from the very beginning and has you wondering about the significance of the rose notes right until the end.

Andrea Mayes' second book is called 'Shearwater' and I've added it to my 'books I want to read' list.
