I had a fabulous day today at the White Wedding Dress Exhibition. I travelled by train from Melbourne to Bendigo, lunched in a cafe in Bath Lane and wandered through some lovely shops in View Street before spending a blissful hour and half gazing at beautiful wedding dresses and accessories on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The exhibition also included Australian wedding dresses from 1822 - 2011. The lace, the beads, the embroidery, the fabrics, the designs, the craftmenship were stunning. There was also a short film of British royal and society weddings in which two of the dresses on display were featured. The exhibition finishes on 6th November so there's still time to get there.

In March next year, the Bendigo gallery will host the Grace Kelly: Style Icon. There will be no stopping me from heading up to Bendigo again for that exhibition
