The Slap

I'm really looking forward to the eight part series 'The Slap' which starts tonight on ABC1. I read the book a couple of years ago and found that it challenged my view of middle-class inner suburban Australia. I thought that most of the characters were deeply flawed and the men especially didn't have too many redeeming qualities. For me,  the main message of the book is that parents are failing in their responsibility to nurture and care for their children.
