I've made another version of Simplicity 3786. This one has the cross-over front panel. I made a few adjustments to the pattern. I used a self-fabric bias binding for the neckline rather than a facing, I narrowed and shortened the sleeves and finished them with a soft gather and a bound hem and I shortened the body by 7 cm. I cut this one according to my upper bust measurement and found that it was a better fit. I wore it today and had a strategically placed safety pin in place to keep the front from gaping when I moved.
