Vogue 8582 - another version

It's not that I'm unadventurous in my sewing, it's just that if I find a pattern that works, I tend to use it a number of times but with variations. I've made Vogue 8582

with the length of the red top (top left) and with the neckline and sleeve of the grey top (top right). I used a charcoal velour knit which I bought from Clegs in Melbourne, last winter. I really like the twisted neckline and the shape of the body, which skims over and hides all those winter indulgences.

It falls very nicely from the bust-line which is great for hiding a less than svelte figure.
I wore it to work today with my new green skirt and received a couple of favourable comments. I teamed it with a brooch in complimentary colours made from kimono fabric, which broke up the dark expanse of the top. I bought the brooch at the North Melbourne Craft market, a monthly event held at the Lithuanian Club in Errol Street.
